🍂 Children’s Educational Hunting Clinic – Wednesday 26th August 🐴

The Worcestershire Hunt are delighted to present a fantastic Children’s Educational Hunting Clinic, designed to be a fun, educational and supportive evening for young riders, 16 years and under.

With three teams, there’s something for every young rider:

Team 1 – The Huntsman’s Team

For riders confidently walking and trotting off the lead rein, with parents welcome to accompany on foot or mounted (max 1 mounted adult per child).

Team 2 – The Points

For lead-rein and first-ridden jockeys a lovely introduction for our youngest riders and ponies. Riders must be accompanied by an adult on foot

Team 3 – The Whipper-Ins

For independent riders over 12, who can canter, jump and ride confidently. Riders do not need to be accompanied along the ride — we will have a small group of confident assisting adults riding with the children. However, an adult must remain in attendance on foot for the duration of the clinic.

Throughout the evening, riders will enjoy two hunting-style trails, led by experienced Masters, alongside plenty of education about hounds, hunting etiquette and traditions, safety, and what to expect when attending a day’s hunting.

Every rider will receive an Introduction to Hunting booklet and a coloured armband identifying their team.

And once the riding is finished, we’ll head back for a BBQ, followed by a fun horn-blowing competition, open to riders and spectators alike, with a prize for the overall winner! 🏆

On completion of the day, all children will be awarded their very own Worcestershire Hunt Educational Badge, to be worn proudly on hunting days as a symbol of their achievement and participation.

💷 £20 per rider, accompanying mounted adults must also book (ticket includes bbq).
